Tantas Almas (“Valley of Souls,” 2019), directed by Nicolás Rincón Gille and co-produced by PICT core faculty member Hector Ulloque, will celebrate its Paris premiere as the opening film of the 8th Panorama du Cinéma Colombien on October 6, 2020, at 19:00. The showing will take place at the Cinéma L’Arlequin and will be attended by the director.

Among its international accolades, Tantas Almas has received the Étoile d’Or for Best Film at the 18th Marrakech International Film Festival in Morocco and the Special Mention of the Jury at the 42nd Festival des 3 Continents in Nantes, France. In her review for Variety, Jessica Kiang has called Tantas Almas “an immersive, riveting, exceptional debut that builds to a powerful lament for the vanished victims of Colombia’s civil strife.”

The Panorama du Cinema Colombien, an annual film festival celebrating the achievements of Colombian cinema, runs from October 6 to 12, 2020, and comprises over 40 screenings of feature-length and short films.
